Sacred Heart Villa School Christmas Gift Drive
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Each year, as we prepare for the joy of Christmas, Sacred Heart Villa School participates in a Christmas Charity Drive to teach our students the importance of generosity and sharing with others, especially those who are less fortunate. Through this initiative, we donate gifts to children and families in need within our local community, reminding our students that the true spirit of Christmas lies in giving and caring for others.
We are grateful to collaborate with Sister Nora Sweeney of the Daughters of Charity, who works with families in need through the Catholic Health Neighborhood Center. Each Christmas season, Sister Nora helps organize a special gift drive to bring joy and provide essential items to these families.
The donations help provide families with personal care items, clothing for newborns, children & adults, a $10 food gift card, a set of towels and bathmats, shampoo, body wash, a box of toys, and a Christmas bag filled with necessities such as socks, underwear, hats, and gloves (See attached list).
Sister Nora has also expressed her appreciation for additional food gift card donations, which would help families purchase groceries and meet their needs during the holiday season.
We invite our Sacred Heart Villa School community to participate in this meaningful tradition of giving. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of families in our neighborhood and help bring warmth, hope, and Christmas joy to those who need it most.
Before the Thanksgiving Break, we will decorate the Christmas tree near the main school entrance with angel ornaments. Each student will have the opportunity to choose an ornament to place on their gift.
Please make sure your child brings home one angel ornament. This special tradition is a meaningful way to teach our students gratitude for the blessings they have received and the importance of sharing with those who are less fortunate.
All donations will be picked up from the school by Sr. Nora and her team on Tuesday, December 8, 2026. Kindly place your donation in a gift bag and return it to the school by Monday, December 7, 2026.
Thank you for helping us share the joy of giving and the true spirit of Christmas with families in need in our community this Christmas season!
