Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. The liturgical Season of Advent is already here. This is a time of anticipation into the joyous
season of Christmas. Let us welcome Christ in our lives through prayer, penance, and alms giving to the less fortunate among us. Please, this is just a gentle reminder. We have noticed that some students have been coming to school late, we would appreciate it if you would please bring your child to school at least 8:45 am.

The Christmas Giving Tree:

During the Christmas season, Sacred Heart Villa School students participate in a Christmas Gift Drive by donating gifts to the children/families in need within
our neighborhood. We collaborate with Sister Nora Sweeney from The Daughters of Charity Congregation, who works with poor families at the Catholic Health Neighborhood Center. Each student has picked an angel ornament from the Giving Tree. The gifts can be personal items or $10.00 gift cards for food. Sr. Nora and her team will collect all the donations on the morning of December 16, 2024. Please have all your donations in a gift bag and turn them in by Friday,
December 13, 2024.

Thanksgivings Recess begins on November 26-29. School resumes on Monday, December 2nd.

Parent/Teacher Conference Week: Parents/teacher conferences will begin on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Your child’s teacher will schedule your time for the conference. The Pre-K and Kindergarten students will receive their progress reports in January. Their parents are encouraged to come in for parent/teacher conferences.
December 7th is First Friday and Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 am in our chapel. This year, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will be celebrated on December 9th, 2024 It is a Holy Day of Obligation. We will have Mass in our chapel at 9:30 am. You are welcome to join us.

Christmas Party/Santa Clause: December 18th is the Christmas Party, and Santa Clause will be visiting at 1:15 pm. Each grade has been assigned what to contribute for the Christmas party. Please, see the attachment with more details. I would appreciate the help of our parents who have signed up to help out with this event. Please, help us to decorate the gym on the 12/17th at 4:00 PM.

Christmas Pageant and Mass: On Wednesday, December 20, 2024, we will have our Christmas Pageant in the auditorium at 9:30 AM followed immediately by Mass in our chapel. The students will come dressed up in their Christmas colors. They will dress up in their costumes while in school. More details to follow via Class Dojo. Dismissal will be at 11:30am.

Christmas Recess: Christmas recess begins on December 23, 2024 and ends on January 3, 2025. School will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025.
